WHAT IS TRES LECHE :

Tres leche which means 3 milk cake is a Mexican dessert. This cake is soft and super moist. Its each bite is decadently moist and hevenly. Its by far the best I've tried and beats store bought version any day.

This cake is simple and crowd pleasing , and trust me they'll be the first to be cleaned out.

Its not only easy to make but can be made in any type of dish be it a casserole diah or cake pan.

INGREDIENTS OF TRES LECHE :

This recipe calls for ingredients which are probably already available in our pantries.

The 3 milk mixture includes condensed milk, evaporated milk and heavy cream. A batch of homemade whipped cream, lastly topped with my homemade salted caramel sauce or fresh strawberries and raspberries.

HOW TO MAKE TRES LECHE :

First grease a rectangular pan, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Separate egg yolks and egg whites in two different bowls.

Using an electric mixer beat the egg yolks along with 13 tbspn suger on high speed until pale yellow. Add in 1/3 cup of milk and vanilla extract and beat again.

Add flour, baking powder, and salt and mix until there are no lumps.

Now with a clean beater, beat the egg whites on high speed until light and fluffy, while keeping the mixer on add the rwmaining 4 tabspn suger and beat well until soft peaks form.

Transfer the egg whites mixture with the yolks and flour mixture and gently fold with a wooden spatula until fully incorporated.

Transfer the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake till golden brown or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean.

Let the cake cool down a bit, then pierce the cake with a tooth pick or fork. Dump the milk mixture all over evenly, topp it with whipped cream and refrigerate for 6 hours or preferably overnight.
