Hello beautiful readers assalam alaikum.
Welcome back to my blog. I've been debating on what should be the next post for u guyz. Something that would want u to instantly jump up and make.
Most of us have a tea/coffee time with our family or partners. Why not add a batch of freshly made homemade donuts to go with.

This recipe is so very easy to make and totally worth it. Yeast doughnuts /donuts are not as difficult to make as they sound. Its quite the opposite actually. And once u've mastered the art of it... U'll be wanting more and more of the homemade ones. They are always better than the store bought ones, trust me 😊
All u have to do is mix everything up , let it rise, roll it out on the counter, cut em up into donuts and fry em up, glaze them with ur fav flavor and toppings ... And ur donuts are ready to be served..... They r soo soft, and yummy. U just can't stop with one i can assure u that 😋😉
So what are we waiting for, without further adieu , get behind the counter and lets get dough-nuting 😜

HOMEMADE DOUGHNUTS /DONUT
PREP TIME : 15 MINS
RISE TIME : 2 HOURS
INGRIDIENTS : FOR THE DOUGH
5 cups flour
1 cup lukewarm milk
1cup water
1egg
Butter
1 tbspn suger
21/2tsp yeast
1/2 tsp salt
CHOCOLATE GLAZE
275 gms hersheys chocolate chip semisweet
3-4 tbspn milk
TOPPINGS (optional)
almond flakes
Coconut flakes
Chocolate shavings
Sprinkles
White chocolate
METHOD :
In a bowl add in the milk water suger and yeast and give it a whisk. (if using active dry let it rise for 10 mins)
Add in the flour , salt and mix with a wodden spatula or u can always use ur hands. Mix until a soft sticky dough forms. Cover the with a lid, keep it in a warm place and let it rise for 1 hour.
After an hour the dough should rise well, punch it down .
Lightly dust the workplace with flour and transfer the dough. Roll it out till the thickness of dough is 2-3 cm

Let the doughnuts rise for 15 mins. Keep oil in a skilet on medium heat. The oil shouldn't be too hot so as to burn the dounuts. The doughnuts should be fried on med low heat.
In a double boiler add in the chocolate chip. Add the milk 1 tbspn at a time, so that u get the right consistency, and the chocolate glaze is not too runny. Once it reaches to ur desired consistency turn of the heat.
Test the oil by adding a small dough, if tge dough slowly rises from the bottom of the pan ur oil is ready.
Add in the doughnuts one by one. Do not overcrowd the pan, add in 3 - 4 doughnuts at a time. If ur pan is big u can add in more doughnuts. Fry till golden brown

Remove excess oil and transfer on a paper towel.
Dip the nuts in chocolate glaze or any glaze u like and top it with ur fav topping.
Add a few donuts in an airtight container along with 2 tbspn suger and mix well till all sides of the donuts r coverd in suger.
Transfer the doughnuts in a serving plate and serve warm.
Always keep in mind to fry the donuts on med low heat. Do not increase the flame to high. Donuts fried on med heat do nut burn and gets the correct golden color.
